The sculptural piece by Alexander Calder in the museum’s collection is typical of the artist’s work. It was realised in 1971 on request by Bernhard Sprengel to be exhibited in Hanover. It is now a landmark associated with the Sprengel Museum Hannover as it is on view directly opposite the museum on the banks of the ´Maschsee` (lake).
