Pablo Picasso was one of the most significant and well-known artists of the 20th century. He was a painter, realised numerous works on paper, sculptures and ceramics. Over the course of his artistic career, he not only experimented with different styles but also developed a number of different concepts in art. The final product was less important for him than the multitude of variations on a theme he could concoct. One example of this approach is his “Trois Femmes“(1908) in all its variations; one of the most significant Cubist works of art ever made. It was realised immediately after he completed the famous painting ”Desmoiselles d'Avignon“ in 1907.
